III. Statement cont'd...
Also keep in mind, as devout as you might be, our homes are to be like mini churches not boutiques. You will see many churches named after different saints, Mary or God Himself. There is a focus in mind. Your home should not look like a boutique with so many scattered items to where it would appear as though the only things missing were price tags. The beautiful thing about profoundly drawing attention to a stand alone piece is that it can become an in depth way to evangelize. Unique statement pieces have a way of becoming a conversation starter for anyone visiting a home. If this is a lesser known saint that is repeated throughout the home, it can spark the curiosity of guests. There are thousands of unheard saints that can speak to so many different vices and challenges, since they were once treacherous sinners themselves. Their life after conversion can uniquely teach us unfathomable lengths on how to discover God. Some people are simply kept from the church because they feel it offers no relatable experience unique to their own set of issues. In emphasizing a saint, we can allow wisdom to pass through our home. You never know what your outward display of fondness for a saint can do for someone else. Your door could be the very answer.
Alternatively, one well known saint that many homes can consider is our spiritual father, Saint Joseph, as he is the patron of homes, the glory of domestic life and the pillar of families. If struggling on which saint to choose as your patron/statement, you can rest assured that this valiant saint who protected Mary and Jesus, will also do the same for any home and child of God.

...Michael will rise up,
the great leader, who stands up for the sons of your people...and at that time, your people will be saved, all who will be found written in the book. And many of those who sleep in the dust of the earth will waken: some to everlasting life, and others to a reproach that they will always see. Daniel 12: 1-2
